I have fond memories of Mrs Armitage which I would like to share with you. As a shy 17 year old I had a daunting 6 months work placement ahead of me at my local primary school. I had many tasks to complete, which included the care of a young child who was going through medical treatment. With important forms to complete for his medical team and my own college work, I had many trips to the school office. As school secretary, Mrs Armitage always found time to support, reassure, and advise me throughout my time at the school. I will always be grateful for her belief in me and my abilities.

I will be taking part in this year’s Great North Run for LOROS, to help raise much needed funds for the hospice.
